About Us
When Ocean Grove locals Geoff and Susie Chalker took ownership of Rolling Pin Pies & Cakes in 1997, they believed they had a recipe for success. Nearly 30 years later, that commitment to quality, innovation and great food has helped make Rolling Pin one of Australia’s most awarded pie makers.
Geoff and Susie’s dream of building a true family business became a reality when their daughter Kristy joined them in 2004, followed by their daughter Stacey and sons-in-law Nathan Williams and Todd Lincoln. Today, the next generation is also part of the Rolling Pin story, and the family’s commitment to quality remains at the heart of everything we do.

Over the years, Rolling Pin has won hundreds of awards at state and national level, with our pies repeatedly judged among the very best in Australia.
In 2026, we achieved one of our biggest competition results yet at the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition, winning an incredible 22 Gold Medals from 24 entries, along with four major category titles:
- Australia’s Best Gourmet Game Pie, Roo Rendang
- Australia’s Best Gourmet Seafood Pie, Penang Prawn
- Australia’s Best Slow Cook BBQ Pie, BBQ Brisket, Jalapeño & Cheese
- Australia’s Best Potato Top Pie, Bombay Beef & Masala Mash
And topping it all off, our Roo Rendang was crowned the Overall Winner of the Official Great Aussie Gourmet Competition, the third time Rolling Pin has taken out the competition’s overall gourmet title.
Those results add to a long list of national wins, including Australia’s Best Pie in 2021, 2022 and 2024, Australia’s Greatest Gourmet Pie in 2023, and Australia’s Best Poultry Pie in 2025.
For us, the awards aren’t just trophies. They reflect the work of our bakers, pastry cooks and entire Rolling Pin team, who make thousands of pies every week while continuing to develop new flavours and push the boundaries of what a great Australian pie can be.
Proudly local
From our beginnings in Ocean Grove, Rolling Pin has grown to six locations across Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula, with stores in Ocean Grove, Ocean Grove Industrial Estate, Leopold, Queenscliff, South Geelong and Drysdale.
Despite that growth, we remain proudly local and family owned. We’re committed to supporting the communities in which we operate through local fundraising, sporting clubs, charities and our popular Pie Drives.
